Owner
Salvatore Sgroi, owner of Bella Italia, grew up in a family of butchers from Carini, Sicily. He learned traditional meat-cutting and sausage-making techniques from his father, who opened J & J Meats in Brooklyn in 1970. After working at the New York Mercantile Exchange, Sal launched Bella Italia in 2009 to share his heritage through authentic Italian cuisine.
