It is with mixed emotions that we announce the temporary closing of the cafe portion of our business. We know that this may come as a surprise to many but don't worry, we will be back. We have been so blessed with a thriving in-house business as well as an overwhelming response for our catering services that we had to make a decision between the two.
We were hoping to find enough staff to continue to do both but like most restaurants, at this time, it is a struggle to find employees. Also, many of you know that my daughter was hospitalized back in January and have sent prayers for her recovery. We cannot thank you enough. She has recently come home and is doing much better but still requires 24/7 care.
As I mentioned months ago, my first priority is to my family and I am still needed for her and my granddaughter's care. And I have come to the realization I can't do it all, no matter how hard I try. My current employees have totally stepped up during a time that I needed them most and are doing the work of 2-3 people.

Our Story
Report
What began as a personal interest for chef/owner, Laurie Peterson in health and nutrition, grew into the area's premier restaurant for farm, fresh, and local fare.
Along with her husband Ron, the duo share a passion for health, wellness and good food!
Laurie started planting the seed years ago when she earned a Bachelors of Science in Health and Wellness.
Years later, with the help of Ron, she blended business with pleasure and turned it into a thriving cafe and catering business.
Laurie's passion for clean, wholesome and healthy ingredients is evident in the dishes and desserts served here at The Mustard Seed Cafe.
